This website is a hub for the Hodgson and Black families who live in the idyllic Gloucestershire countryside.

It’s a place for us, our extended families, most notably the D’Souzas, and our friends to share information and images.

Currently this site is mainly written and maintained by me, Julian Black, owner of blackartz a graphic and web design company. I have a keen interest in photographing British wildlife and natural history and frequently use the pictures from my image library rural ramblings to lavishly illustrate the blog section of this site.

There are two photography galleries on this website, the older gallery is a bit clunky and not too easy to use, though many people have managed to upload a lot of intersting stuff. Check it out here but don’t try registering or uploading anything - it’s now closed. It’s replacement is considerably better and is waiting for you to register and start uploading your own pictures.
